Dockt is focusing on Plates

Dockt is no longer selling its venue management software. From today the business is built entirely around Dockt Plates, our NFC and QR tap products for Australian businesses.

We began building the dashboard two years ago and it grew to cover rostering, checklists, stock, compliance records and an assistant that read across all of it. It was a capable product, but it did not find the audience we had hoped for, and continuing to develop it was taking time away from the part of the business customers were actually buying.

Plates are simple to explain and simple to use, and demand has been steady without much promotion from us. Concentrating on one product means we can improve it properly rather than maintain several things adequately.

What this means for customers

Plates are unaffected. Every plate that has shipped continues to work exactly as it did, the plates dashboard at plates.dockt.com.au is unchanged, and the Smart Plan continues on the same terms.

If you held a venue management account, it is closed to new sign-ups and we have stopped active development. Your data has not been deleted. Contact us if you would like a copy of it, or if you have questions about what happens next.

We have also made standard shipping free on orders of five plates or more, anywhere in Australia.
